Elder Lewis Edwards

This Elder was the first of his family to migrate into Southwestern Virginia. He served as moderator of the Union Association from 1850 until the late 1880's. He also served the Sandlick Church, of Dickenson County Virginia, on and off again from 1850 until the early 1890's

The original photo still hangs behind the pulpit in the Sandlick Primitive Baptist Church.
