Elder W.J. Prater Elder Prater served as Moderator of the Mates Creek Association for 12 years. He served from 1922 until 1934. Elder Prater was a tried and true servant of Christ. He dutifully preached the everlasting gospel unto many throughout Northeastern Kentucky and Southwestern Virginia during his lifetime.
